Amanda pretty much cajoled me into this, but since she also succeeded in strong-arming Brian and the Pickin Trix into it, I figured it mightn't be half bad and ended up writing the "Third World Order" song (listed on the lyrics page) for the show. A large part of the program was a long and sometimes over-arranged tribute to Paul Robeson and his legacy, which wound up in a sentimental choral finale of "Ol' Man River". After the show, my friend Jenny commented that she hadn't realized I was such a hippy, and I felt compelled to clarify that I was more of a Socialist than a hippy, but it's probably all the same to the Department of Homeland Security.
